So here I am with my first blog entry. Apparently, this is going to attract more visitors to my site, and being a celebration cake designer I am more familiar with a spatula and whisk than all this technical stuff so let's give it a try! .
Well, now I have you here let me tell you what I am about and what I am going to share with you. Firstly I make celebration cakes in the Newport and Cardiff areas of South Wales. I love to work closely with my clients to create the perfect design for their special occasions. I work with fondant or buttercream (an argument for another day!) depending on client preference and the final look of the cake. My absolute passion is making characters with fondant or I can model them out of polymer clay so they can be kept long after the cake has been eaten.
Talking of eating cake, over the next few weeks I will be working on some new exciting cake flavours with different global influences, so keep a lookout for these. I will be adding some more nostalgic cakes to my menu like coffee and walnut, pineapple and cherry. Also, I will be working on more of my vintage cakes making them more visually stunning and will be sharing these with you very soon.
