Customer Care

Hi I'm Claire Louise and thank you for choosing my Cake studio. I am committed to ensuring that each customer receives my very best service and understands the terms and policies I have outlined for my online shop. I will provide full disclosure and answer some of the most common asked questions so that you can buy with confidence.

Payments I can accept all major credit cards. Customers can securely pay for items in their cart. However if you have chosen to customise your celebration cake you may choose to be invoiced after the details are finalised. Orders have not been officially placed unless they have been paid.  I am able to accept payment by phone. Your balance due date is 14 days prior to your event or delivery date. Your receipt is a contract with Claire Louise Cake Studio for the fulfilment of your order. The contract is null and void if full payment is not made by the due date.

Bookings and deposits We invite all prospective and returning customers to complete our Order Request Form online to begin the booking process. After receiving your submission, you may be contacted for additional details. An invoice, which is your contract with us, will be provided when the details have been finalised and if we are available for your order. Upon receipt of an invoice, your initial non refundable deposit of 50% of the order value reserves your event date, and serves as your agreement to the terms and conditions of your order. Performance of this agreement is contingent upon the ability of Claire Louise Cake Studio to complete the agreement and is subject to disputes, strikes, accidents, Acts of God and other causes beyond our control. We are at times able to accommodate last minute orders; however, we highly recommend submitting your request at least 6 weeks in advance to avoid disappointment.

Cancellations and changes Making changes to your order after receiving your contract may be subject to additional charges. The date of your payment due is the final date to make changes to your order. Any changes cannot be guaranteed after this date. Claire Louise Cake Studio cannot accept responsibility for changes in personal circumstances or commitments that may impact your order. However we will do our best to address unexpected changes on a case by case basis. A full refund will be given if I cancel your order for any reason.

Allergen and non-edible elements Our products are prepared in a facility where milk, wheat, nuts, eggs and other allergens may also be used. If you choose to use fresh flowers in your decor, please keep in mind that some flowers are non-edible, and may contain pesticides, insects, dirt or other contaminants that may be harmful to your guests. In addition, many multi-tiered, stacked and sculpted cakes, as well as cake decor elements such as satin, studded ribbons, sugar flowers and cake toppers may be, or may contain non edible elements such as dowel rods and other internal and structural support.  Payment of your invoice in full or part indicates your agreement to notify anyone you share our products with and releases, indemnifies and excludes Claire Louise Cake Studio from any and all liability of any kind.
